DRIVER'S SEAT
The titanium exhaust cracks and pops behind me, a metallic symphony echoing off vineyard fences as I brake late into a blind right-hander. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s stick hard, the forged alloy wheels telegraphing every nuance of the pavement back through the Alcantara-wrapped wheel. There’s joy in this—pure, unfiltered, driver-to-machine communication. Inside, the cabin is more race suit than lounge, but still unmistakably premium. The M Sport seats grip with purpose, dressed in Merino leather and Alcantara, trimmed with more carbon fibre that shimmers under the wide, curved glass of the iDrive 8.5 system. A 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital cluster offer all the information I need, but none of it distracts. The real data is in the tension of the wheel, the pitch of the engine, the blur of vines in my peripheral vision.
